What made me decide on trying OTF?
My sister in law bought me a one-month membership and a pod as a Christmas gift and said ‘try it, you’ll love it’!
How did I feel when I first started OTF?
Challenged, motivated to get stronger and fitter, excited about possible results. I found the workouts intense and after the workouts I was shocked by the energy levels I felt after each session. I felt sore a lot!
How do I feel today at OTF?
I love OTF. I can hardly imagine my life without it anymore. It is truly a part of my routine like sleeping or working.The variety and structure of the workouts makes me feel fit and strong all over.
What improvements have I experienced since joining OTF?
This is an exciting question because I’ve seen several improvements. I have never liked running, I attribute my dislike to the fact that I have never been that good at it. Since joining OTF I have run three 10K races and done the OB ½ marathon relay, huge accomplishment in itself… and my times have not been embarrassing. I’m stronger, tighter, my heart is noticeably fitter, my energy is more abundant, my body image is more confident, and I make healthier food choices. I feel good about the fact I am in better shape at this age, than I probably ever have been, which makes me happy as the example I am setting for my three children to make fitness a part of their life balance. I think about the fact that through my commitment to my health and fitness I am very well increasing the possibility of being around longer to enjoy them too which is a happy thought.
Who have you inspired through OTF?
I have brought several friends and my daughter in law to OTF. Some have stayed and some have not, but it’s fun to have someone you are close with to train with, talk about the workouts with, sympathize with about the good hurts our muscles feel and how we are getting stronger and hotter.People ask me all the time how I stay in shape and then have to listen to me go on about OTF and how great it is!
What do you LOVE about OTF?
The coaches! (Shanell is so incredibly awesome) The “we’re here to work hard and get fit” environment, the community, the structure of the workouts, the intensity of the workouts, the results!!!
